Egg & Embryo Freezing

Whether you’re focused on your career, waiting to meet the right partner, or simply not ready yet, egg freezing gives you options.

Is it for you?
Key considerations

Why women are freezing their eggs

  • 01

    Egg quantity

After 30, the egg count drops faster, and doesn’t come back. Freezing earlier means more healthy eggs for later.

  • 02

    Egg Quality

Younger eggs mean fewer abnormalities and better success rates. Freezing early preserves that quality.

  • 03

    Medical conditions

PCOS, endometriosis, weight, or other hormonal factors can affect fertility over time. Freezing eggs helps you stay in control, no matter what the future holds

How it works

The Process

Your journey starts with a detailed consultation where a doctor understands your goals, explains your ovarian reserve, and recommends whether egg or embryo freezing is right for you based on your relationship status, age, and long-term plans.

After your consultation, a few simple blood tests and an ultrasound assess your fertility markers. Based on your results, our doctor designs a stimulation protocol tailored to your body, with transparent costs and ongoing support at every step.

For 10–12 days, you’ll take hormone shots that gently stimulate your ovaries to produce multiple eggs in one cycle. During this time, you’ll visit the clinic every few days for scans and dose adjustments to ensure everything stays on track.

When your follicles are ready, you’ll take a final “trigger shot” to help your eggs mature. About 36 hours later, you’ll come in for the retrieval — a quick, 30-minute procedure under anaesthesia. No incisions, minimal downtime. Most women go to work the next day.

Our embryologists immediately evaluate and vitrify (flash-freeze) your mature eggs. They’re then stored securely at -196°C — staying the same age you were when they were frozen. You’ll get your egg count, storage plan, and guidance on next steps.

When the time comes, your eggs can be thawed, fertilized with sperm, and grown into embryos for transfer. You decide when and how to use them (and yes, you can try naturally first!)

FAQs

Questions on your mind?

Fertility begins to decline more noticeably after age 30, and significantly after 35. Freezing eggs or embryos earlier—ideally in your late 20s to early 30s—can increase the chances of success later. But even if you’re older, speak to a doctor—AMH, AFC, and other markers give a better picture than age alone.

If you’re single or unsure of your future parenting plans, egg freezing gives you more flexibility. If you have a partner or sperm source and are certain about using it, embryo freezing can have slightly higher success rates.

From the start of ovarian stimulation to egg retrieval, the process takes around 10–14 days. You’ll need to visit the clinic 4–5 times during this window. Planning your work and travel schedule around this short phase is helpful.

Egg retrieval is done under light sedation—it’s quick and not painful. Most people feel groggy for a few hours, with mild bloating or cramping for a day or two. Complications are rare, and your doctor will monitor everything closely.
